The Dying IrfanView
While the official site is gone, most of its mirrors are still here! Perhaps it is not completely dead (yet).
It would be nice if Irfan Skiljan would put his codes to public domain/open source so that the product can stay forever.

Have no idea of why you can't read his website http://www.irfanview.com but it is there, it is active, and he will be making updates to his software.
Probably something wrong with your ISPs DNS server. I even see an update to his links page 09 Feb 2005 19:58:36 GMT which is certainly recent.
Version 3.95 ( - CURRENT VERSION - ) (Release date: 2004-10-26)

I was doing a search on google for irfanview and found this blog. Well, just to let you know last year for a few days the site was indeed down. Imagine having thousands of people a day. I am a partner and get over 16,000 users a day on my site so you can imagine what the main site gets. Calculate that by the KBs downloaded.
Irfanview has recently released version 3.99
