Unfair to registered Opera users?
Opera 8.5 is now free: the adbar nightmare is finally gone. But what about those registered users who paid for their browsers? Won't this piss them off? :-S
Fortunately I'm a Firefox user. ;-)
Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

I've paid for Opera several times and I'm not pissed off.
Why?
I still get email support (which you have to pay for now). And better yet, I won't have to pay for upgrades, which I have before, and which I would probably have to do when Opera 9 is out, if it had still been ad supported.
Why would I be pissed off for not having to pay for upgrades?
Also, if you buy a jacket one week and notice that it's on sale or part of a special offer next week, would you get pissed off? Of course not.
You are just looking for an excuse to bash Opera :)

Have to see the negative side huh? ;) Ok, to explain:
1. They get the satisfaction of knowing they helped support Opera - like all those users who donate to Mozilla
2. They still get the premium support they paid for until the next major release
3. They can get a refund if they registered within the last 30 days

Thanks for the excuses to "anti-bash" Opera. ;-) (read: this is a joke).
