What the customer really needed
Tonight, when I visit OpenWikiHelp 2004, a little image caught my attention:
Obviously, instead of giving your customers a broken or bloated product, try to give them what they really need... ;-)
Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

The history of this little image:
some 30 years ago, somebody showed me a little image - a kind of predecessor of this little image, painted with a pencil. Everything except the last subpicture, and therfore a little bit incomplete. Angry and frustrated by a long fruitless design session with my customer, I took a pencil and and squeezed the "what the customer really needed" part into the bottom right corner of this paper sheet.
I feel, that this tiny picture is the one and only thing created by me, which will survive me. I am proud of it.
Sorry for my poor english knowledge.
